In order to acquaint you with the TLI, here are some of our most frequently asked questions.
What is the Thought Leadership Institute (TLI)?
TLI is a development organization responsible for creating “exchanges” where senior recruitment leaders come together to discuss the challenges, concerns, and issues facing the recruiting industry. The Exchanges are normally focused on a specific area of interest in the recruiting field, such as international sourcing, diversity, or workforce planning.
How will new members be selected?
Prospective members will be invited or nominated. For each member company, up to four individuals will be allowed to attend each regular Exchange event. Once the first Exchange has been held, prospective members who are nominated must be approved by a majority of the current membership.
What is expected of me as a member?
Each member will be asked to commit to the following:
- Sending the “right” person to Exchange meetings, someone who can add to member-knowledge and dialogue
- Participating in discussions/dialogue
- Sharing best practices/information
Maintaining confidentiality (no discussion or distribution of TLI materials or information to non-members
Will you invite vendors to our meetings?
Vendors will only be invited with approval of the general membership of the respective Exchange. TLI and the Exchanges developed will be governed by principles of vendor neutrality:
- We will not directly solicit any of our Exchange members
- We won't accept money from vendors
- We won’t recommend a specific vendor, but we will provide a list based on established criteria
- We will put the best minds in the room, vendor or not, we ask that you trust our intentions
- If we ever do invite a vendor to attend, they must be innovative and a thought leader in our industry
- We will provide a money-back guarantee if an Exchange member ever feels these principles have been violated or
compromised.
